Rain Oculus is a famous whirlpool located inside the commercial center of Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore. Not only rainwater pipes but with fine art arrangements, this swirling lake also creates a beautiful waterfall.
Oculus is a kinetic sculpture designed by ned Kahn studios
It sprays collected rainwater into a 700-Ft in-ground basin forming a large whirl pool.
Visitor can enjoy different views from both outside and inside.
At its peak water falls through the oculus at a rate of 8000 gallons per minute.
Rain Oculus is a kinetic sculpture designed by ned Kahn studios. It sprays collected rainwater into a 700-Ft in-ground basin forming a large whirl pool. Water escapes through an Oculus at the bottom of the bowl falling two stories to an indoor Pool.
Visitor can enjoy different views from both outside and inside. The intensity of the whirl Pool changes throughout the day. At its peak water falls through the oculus at a rate of 8000 gallons per minute.
The water is re-collected through a series of canals in the mall and pumped back into the Basin.
